Nicholas Butler was born in 1966 in Florence, where he attended the Institute of Art obtaining a Master of Arts diploma in graphic design, after which he attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence obtaining a Diploma of Painting. Following this he has developed an interest for the study of the styles and painting techniques used over the centuries acquiring the ability to reproduce works of art of the various periods , faithfully following the characteristics peculiar to each period and master.
His production of original works of art consists chiefly of landscapes and views of a certain nineteenth century taste, a period particularly adored by the artist, and of portraits for which he receives frequent commissions.
Nicholas Butler's paintings are included in many private collections throughout Italy
and abroad.
Nicholas Butler è nato nel 1966 a Firenze, dove ha frequentato l'Istituto Statale d'Arte ottenendo il diploma di Maestro d'Arte in arti grafiche, dopodiché ha frequentato l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze ottenendo il Diploma di Pittura. In seguito si è interessato allo studio degli stili e delle tecniche pittoriche usate attraverso i secoli acquisendo la capacità di riprodurre le opere d'arte delle varie epoche, seguendo fedelmente le caratteristiche tipiche di ogni periodo e artista affrontato.
La produzione dei suoi dipinti originali consiste principalmente in paesaggi e vedute di derivazione ottocentesca, periodo particolarmente amato dall'artista e in ritratti per i quali riceve frequenti commissioni.
Le opere di Nicholas Butler sono presenti in numerose collezioni private in Italia e all'estero.
